Background

I am a professional performing artist in Bharatanatyam of over two decades. In addition to being a recipient of The Diploma in Natyashastra from the prestigious Nalanda University, I have received multiple scholarships from the Government of India. My formal education in Bharatanatyam started when I was just six years old. Under the guidance of Sri Deepak Mazumdar, years of rigorous training in dance theory, intricate footwork, hand gestures, and emotional expressions (abhinaya) followed. My education extended beyond the physical aspects of dance, delving into the rich history, mythology, and philosophy of Bharatanatyam. Today, I am privileged to continue this journey, using my art to convey stories and emotions, preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage that has been passed down through generations through my dance academy: Sanskar Nritya Dance Academy (SNDA).
